How to measure your Dog for good fit Collar:
Please be advised that:
- For buckle collar when you specify neck size we will make collar fit on central hole.
- There will be total of 5 holes and distance between each 2 holes is 1 inch (25 mm).
- For example: your dogs neck size is 2 inches (5 cm). Collar will fit on central hole at 2 inches (5 cm).
- There will be 2 smaller size holes - 18 inch (45 cm) and 19 inch (47.5 cm).
- There will be 2 bigger size holes - 21 inch (52.5 cm) and 22 inch (55 cm).
- There will also be tip of the collar after last hole about 2 inch long (5 cm).
- Those are handcrafted collars and some sizes will differ a little (not in significant way).
- 2 ply leather collars and padded leather collars are 1 inch bigger to make sure that it will fit your dog.
Having a look at this collar you will notice that it is made of two layers. Please, read the information about the advantages of two ply leather collar that is mentioned below:
The upper layer is made of full grain genuine leather that doesn’t tear or wear out. It perfectly retains the collar’s form even after a long time of usage. The inner layer is made of Nappa leather that is very soft and gentle to the dog’s skin. It protects your dog’s neck from unpleasant rubbing that may confuse your dog distracting his attention from your commands. The two layers are neatly stitched together at the edges.
The fittings of the collar are made of nickel plated steel. A strong D-ring won’t deform if your dog pulls the leash attached.
It is important to mention that the painting is made by hands of our artists with special water-resistant paint that will not discolour after water contact or under the sunlight.
If you are interested in collar’s long service life, follow some simple rules of exploitation:
- Use leather conditioners and water repellent once a month to prevent collar’s deformation after water contact.
- A wet collar shouldn’t be dried on radiator or exposed to direct sunlight because it can shrink and crack.
